Santa Fe Mysteries: The Elk Moon Murder
Santa Fe Mysteries: The Elk Moon Murder is an FMV murder mystery game. It was created by Shannon Gilligan, who also created the Virtual Murder series, along with Sam Egan, writer and producer for Northern Exposure. It was developed and published by Activision in 1996, and uses the same game engine as Spycraft: The Great Game.
In The Elk Moon Murder you play as a detective investigating the murder of Anna Elk Moon, a famous artist. You’ll need to investigate the crime scene, send evidence to the lab, and use your PDA (Personal Detective’s Assistant) to review the clues you’ve uncovered. Your partner John Night Sky assists as you question suspects. The gameplay has a lot of similarities to Gilligan’s Virtual Murder series, though the game mechanics, acting, and video quality are all a notable step up here.
