LEGO Droid Commander
My build of two of the droids from the LEGO Star Wars Droid Commander set. This is a lot more chaotic than usual as I try to demonstrate the interactivity.
Part 1
It’s LEGO droid building time! What should I build, gonk droid or mouse droid? We start off the stream with a look at the completed R2-D2 from this set, and talk a bit about how the set works, including the accompanying app. Then the stream immediately goes off the rails, as we discover the app will not take me through building a second droid until I complete missions with R2-D2. We valiantly attempt to complete a scanning mission, first on the carpet and then on a large piece of cardboard. We eventually give up and use the cheater’s instructions to build a gonk droid, until we finally discover that cheaters cannot gonk.
Part 2
Hello I’m streaming from the floor today and I WILL make this droid gonk. We start the stream from the living room floor and go through a couple of droid missions with R2-D2, with mixed success. Then at last I make the gonk droid gonk. I then assemble the mouse droid, we talk about snacks a bit, and I demonstrate the mouse droid’s controls.
