Lost Records: Bloom & Rage
Lost Records: Bloom & Rage is a narrative adventure game created by Don’t Nod Montréal. It was published in two parts or “Tapes,” released two months apart in early 2025. We’re invited to “Rewind back to the 90s and live the defining summer of four high school girls as they forge bonds through their growing friendship, their punk band, and an unexplained event that will forever change their lives.”
Nina Freeman worked on this game as a narrative designer and writer, and I’m a big fan of her work. It’s also set in Michigan in 1995, and stars four high school kids in a band, giving the game a more familiar setting for me than most.

Part 1
There are a lot of reasons I’m excited to play Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, but number one is Nina Freeman worked on it as a narrative designer and writer. It’s a narrative adventure from Don’t Nod, creators of Life is Strange! It’s set in Michigan in 1995! It stars four high school kids in a band! There’s a weird hole! Let’s check it out!
