Space Quest II: Vohaul’s Revenge
Space Quest II: Vohaul’s Revenge was designed by Scott Murphy and Mark Crowe, the “Two Guys from Andromeda,” and released by Sierra On-Line in November 1987. Following the events of the first game, Roger Wilco is back to his usual work as a janitor, now on Xenon Orbital Station 4. He soon finds his way into trouble again, abducted by Sludge Vohaul’s minions. Meanwhile Vohaul makes plans to unleash an army of genetically engineered life insurance salesmen across the galaxy.
The was the first Sierra game I ever played, when I was around eleven years old, on a Macintosh 512K in black and white. I thought it’d be fun to come back to it for this anniversary stream, and see what it would have looked like on a color Macintosh II.
