Déjà Vu: A Nightmare Comes True!!
Déjà Vu: A Nightmare Comes True!! is the first game in the MacVenture series from ICOM Simulations. It was originally released in 1985 for Mac, making it among the first point-and-click adventure games. The Mac versions of these games are especially interesting—they have a unique interface and novel drag-and-drop mechanics.
In 1990, Déjà Vu was ported to the Nintendo Entertainment System by Kemco. Even though it was the first MacVenture game, it was the last one brought to the NES. Like the other MacVenture ports, this version adds color graphics, a full soundtrack, and some notable changes to make it more appropriate for Nintendo’s audience.
The game follows Ace Harding, a former boxer turned private eye, after he wakes up in a bathroom stall with no memory of who he is. As you control Ace, you soon discover a murder you’re being framed for. You need to act quickly to make sense of what happened and clear your name.
