Transfer Point is now available!
Transfer Point is now available to play in your web browser, on your own classic Mac, or in an emulator. Over the past week I finished up the cover painting, fixed several last minute bugs, polished up the web site, and packaged everything up for release. This project has been a lot of work, but it was absolutely worth it, and it seems like people are enjoying it.
On Friday we had a launch party on Twitch to celebrate. The stream will be added to my YouTube archive eventually, but for now you can watch the VOD on Twitch. I gave an introduction to World Builder for anyone that missed my stream series, talked about making the game, then went over all the things I put together since I finished my stream series: the trailer, the source code repository, the in-browser emulator, the InvisiClues hints, the illustrated manual, the cover painting, and the current state of the Playdate port. Afterward we checked out some other games made in World Builder in the 80s and 90s.
If you plan to play the game on Twitch, Transfer Point now has its own category if you’d like to use it. Please let me know on Bluesky or Mastodon if you stream it, I’d love to watch if I’m able to.
