The Legend of Zelda

Streamed from June 19, 2026 to Present

Join me on my birthday as I map out Hyrule and raise funds for Autistic Self Advocacy Network. No walkthrough, no hints, just some vague childhood memories to help me defeat Ganon. Every $40 raised extends my adventure by 30 minutes.

I first played this game back when it came out, along with my brother. Now that a few years have passed I thought it was time I tried to complete it on my own. I have a lot of vague memories, most of which are not particularly helpful.

We raised a total of $2080 for ASAN thanks to everyone’s incredible generosity. That means I have a total of 31 hours to explore Hyrule and defeat Ganon. Thank you all for your support of ASAN, it means a lot to me.

Part 1

Friday, June 19, 2026

For my birthday this year I’m playing The Legend of Zelda (1986) and raising funds for Autistic Self Advocacy Network. The fundraiser is now over, but every $40 raised extended my adventure by 30 minutes. We started out spending some time talking about ASAN, autism, and getting an autism diagnosis. Then we took a look through the manual, and I started playing the game and making hand-drawn maps of everything.

Part 2

Saturday, June 20, 2026

On the first day of the fundraiser we raised $1651 for Autistic Self Advocacy Network?? Incredible. This was a great way to spend my birthday and everyone’s support of ASAN means a lot to me. I’m back at it today for another ~10 hours of The Legend of Zelda. I’ve completed 1½ labyrinths and our map of Hyrule is coming along nicely.
